Our bookshop stocks textbooks, equipment and stationery recommended for North Metropolitan TAFE courses, as well as art supplies, novelty, gift and ancillary items.

We endeavor to provide a one-stop-shop for students.

It is recommended you attend your first class tbefore purchasing your textbooks to ensure you buy the right ones.

Opening hours
Be aware that our trading hours will vary depending on the time of the academic year. To confirm our trading hours at a particular time, please call (08) 9427 1212 or refer to our Facebook page.

Summer break trading hours

Monday 4 – Thursday 7 December 8:00am to 3:00pm. 
Friday 8 December 8:00am to 2:00pm

Closed from Monday 11 December 2017 – Monday 22 January 2018

Standard opening hours
Monday — Thursday     8:00am —  4:00pm 
Friday                               8:00am —  2:30pm

The bookshop is closed weekends, public holidays and term breaks.

Online ordering available (during operating hours). Online orders will be dealt with between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:00 pm Mon —  Fri on our operating days.
Any orders received after 2:00pm will be handled the following work day.

Conditions of refund
Returns for a refund for a "change of mind" can be requested, however we are not obliged to provide a refund under these conditions. If we do agree, the item must be in original sale condition including shrink-wrapped or seals unbroken.

A customer can return ​items for a refund or replacement if
•  The item has a fault that was not detected at the time of purchase 
•  The customer will be given a refund if the Bookshop is unable to replace the item.
•  The item was wrongly prescribed by the Department (verification required). 
•  Bookshop staff DO NOT have the curriculum information to tell students what they need to purchase.

To receive a refund for a faulty item. It MUST be returned
•  Within five working days of purchase (except where a student has been wrongly enrolled); AND
•  Have a provable fault 
•  In original resalable condition; AND
•  Accompanied with the itemised receipt. 

Refunds for wrongly prescribed texts
Bookshop staff will verify with the appropriate Academic Director regarding the text before proceeding with the refund.

Items purchased by credit card/EFTPOS/cash
•  The refund for items purchased by credit card or EFTPOS will only be paid via credit entry into the appropriate card account.
•  Only Cash purchases are cash refund.
•  In addition to the above Conditions of Refund the item must be accompanied with the receipt from the time of purchase.

Items purchased by cheque
•  The refund for items purchased by cheque will only be made if the cheque has been cleared.
•  The refund will be paid direct to the student’s bank account.
•  It is necessary for the student to complete the Miscellaneous Payments Voucher.
•  Is required to be processed through the College Finance Department. 

You must have proof of purchase 

You can choose to pick up your phone or online order or have it delivered to your home address. Textbooks will only be delivered once payment has been received.

Delivery charges
Delivery is charged at Australia Post rates per package and calculated via our freight calculator using your postcode and parcel weight when you add to the basket.

Delivery address and contact details
We can deliver to home but we require a physical street address. To assist us, please also provide a contact phone number. Delivery to PO boxes is under special circumstances and must be discussed with staff.

Stock availability
Please note stock availability on the order screen. Items not in stock and not on order may not be re-ordered. You are advised to contact the Bookshop for further information (9427 1212).

Delivery lead time
Please allow a minimum of 3-5 working days from date of order. Please note orders are not processed on weekends or public holidays.

Pick up
You will be able to collect paid orders from Joondalup campus Library or the Perth campus Bookshop. You will require ID to collect the order.

Can I buy direct?
Alternatively you can drop into the Perth campus Bookshop to purchase direct.
Overseas, Interstate and Intrastate orders attract a higher postage charge and may take up to two weeks to be delivered depending on the postal service in that area.

These sites are Australian second hand sites that deal with the buying and selling of textbooks. They are suggestions only for your convenience as the North Metropolitan TAFE Bookshop does not handle second hand books. If buying ensure you have the right edition. North Metropolitan TAFE takes no responsibility for your purchases.

Cengage Learning has a range of downloadable files including case studies, tutorials and PowerPoint presentations that you can use in conjunction with your textbook.
