When you complete the Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology you'll have what many employers are looking for: an automotive licensed air conditioning technician.

You will have the skills and knowledge to work effectively in the automotive industry servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, retrofitting and modifying, diagnosing and repairing faults, and workplace safety and health. North Metropolitan TAFE offers this as a standalone course and will also offer all apprentice students who have, or are close to, completing the AUR30616 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Technology or AUR30316 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology, the opportunity to gain the AUR20216 Certificate II in Automotive Air-Conditioning Technology.

The AUR20216 Certificate II in Automotive Air-Conditioning Technology is required to obtain a Refrigerant Handling License. Applying for a license is done through the Australian Refrigeration Council’s website www.arctick.org.
